Once Danielle Matthaes started going blind, everybody said there was no way she could realize her dream of becoming a nurse.
"The hardest part is when people think I can't do things," Matthaes, 18, said Thursday. "Sometimes it makes me more motivated -- I'm going to prove them wrong."
Matthaes has spent the past semester at Montana State University taking tough classes like chemistry and German, and impressing professors with her bright mind, courage and determination to overcome the odds.
