FCC Approves IP Captioned Telephone for Compensation from Interstate TRS Fund

On December 20, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted a Declaratory Ruling finding that Internet-enabled captioned telephone service (IP CTS) is eligible for compensation from the Interstate Telecommunications Relay Service Fund. AG Bell was among 30 organizations that petitioned the FCC to support IP CTS and full telecommunications access for people with hearing loss.
