Sheri and Chris Walker of Bar Nunn often wondered what was happening to their oldest child. He had been the most entertaining of kids. But as a teenager, he began to withdraw. And there were other odd behaviors. Jared would wear his coat throughout the summer, even in sweltering heat. At times, he wouldn't sleep for three-day stretches. His energy seemed boundless. He'd work furiously on his art or other projects.
