CHARGE syndrome is a recognizable (genetic) pattern of birth defects which occurs in about one in every 9-10,000 births worldwide. It is an extremely complex syndrome, involving extensive medical and physical difficulties that differ from child to child. The combination of features often lead to significant educational challenges, both for the children and for the professionals whose task it is to help these children.
Recently, the Foundation has put together an information packet for educators and therapists who are working with students who have CHARGE syndrome.
More information on CHARGE syndrome can be found and downloaded for free at the Foundation web site: http://www.chargesyndrome.org. We always appreciate feedback: what works, what is missing, what can be improved...
