New Publications on Promoting the Healthy Growth and Development of Infants and Toddlers in Child Care Settings

The Charting Progress for Babies in Child Care project at the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP) has published the following three new research-based rationales, which provide recommendations for states on how to promote the healthy growth and development of infants and toddlers in child care settings:

Parents and the High Price of Child Care: 2008 Update

The National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA) recently published a report entitled Parents and the High Price of Child Care: 2008 Update, which provides information on the typical costs of child care for infants and four-year-olds in centers and family child care homes across the U.S. The report shows that in 2007, the average price of full-time child care in a center was as high as $14,591 a year for infants and as high as $10,787 a year for 4-year-olds.
