This resource was developed by the Rural Institute on Disabilities Transition Projects and PLUK, Parents Lets Unite for Kids. The purpose of the tool is to organize information on agencies, services and resources that schools, youth and families might need to access as they are planning for life after high school. Materials and information within the tool box can be printed out, copied and shared with students and families as part of their curriculum or in preparation for Transition discussions at IEP meetings. Ideally the Tool Box will be accessed on line to ensure that the most up to date information is disseminated.
Currently the Tool box is in skeleton form and represents some of the most commonly utilized resources in Montana. The goal is for each community to add their specific agencies and resources to the tool.
As agencies and resources emerge or are identified they can be added to the tool box but we chose to limit the depth of information to keep the resource useable and avoid overloading the user.
